League Information:
No Team may start a game with less than 9 players.
A team is allowed to finish a game with less than 9 players, due to injury. The Team must take an out in the injured players spot in the lineup.
If a team bats 10 players, but an injured player is removed from the game, No out is taken in that spot.
Mercy Rule: 10 runs after 4½ innings (home team ahead) or 5 innings (visitors ahead).
Home team is the only team allowed a “last at bat” regarding the Mercy Rule.
Playoffs: Best of Three Series. 2 man crew $ 65 per umpire.
Championship Series: Best of Three. 4 man crew $ 50 per umpire.
7 Inning Games, 30 Game Schedule, top four teams make the Playoffs.
Teams play each other 5 games as Home team, 5 games as Visitor.
Head-To-Head records used for Standings/Playoff Seed Tiebreakers.
Home Teams are responsible for Game Balls. (Approx. 6 Balls per Game)
A $200 Umpires Non-payment bond will be paid by each team prior to the season.
Please rake and line all fields prior to games.
Rake batter's box and mound. Keep our fields in good condition!
Rain-outs should be made up during August open dates.
Protests should be announced to the Umpire & Franklin Rec. Dept.
Umpire Information:
Game Fees: 2 man crew; $65 per umpire, paid prior to game/doubleheader. 1 umpire $100
Game Fee for game continuation, followed by subsequent game; 4 innings or less, ½ fee per umpire. 5 innings or more, (1 pitch into top of fifth) full fee per umpire. 2nd game; full fee per umpire.
Game continuation with no subsequent game; full fee per umpire.
Cancellations: Full fee if umpires arrive at field.
Forfeits: Umpires paid full fee by forfeiting team.
Teams are responsible for notifying Umpire Coordinator and umpires directly. Examples: rainouts/cancellations.
Ejections: Player leaves bench and field area, out of sight and vocal range of game.
Ejections: Umpires notify U.C. ASAP after the game. U.C. will inform League President of all ejections. Do not contact league President directly regarding ejections.
Multiple Ejections: 2+ ejections for the same player will result in a suspension.
Suspensions: Determined by League President after consultation with Umpire Coordinator
Physical aggression/violence toward an umpire will result in ejection from the League. |
